The terms and conditions outlined below apply to Spirit of
Tasmania fares purchased online at spiritoftasmania.com.au,
from Spirit of Tasmania's Customer Contact Centre and terminals,
and via authorised travel agents.
Refund rules:
- Refunds may only be granted for journeys not yet travelled and
are subject to Spirit of Tasmania's amendment & cancellation
fees and fare conditions.
- Refunds are available for Flexi Fares; however conditions apply
to refund payments. All other fare types, including but not limited
to Spirit Fares and Red Hot Deal Fares, are subject to cancellation
fees and therefore are not fully refundable.
- Fees and surcharges incurred at the time of making or amending
a booking are non-refundable.
- Booking amendments made via Spirit of Tasmania's Customer
Contact Centre and terminals may be subject to an amendment fee.
Booking amendments made online via Manage my booking are
not subject to an amendment fee.

Refund payments:
Refunds will be credited back to the payee in the same or
similar form to the original payment.
Details of how refund payments will be issued are outlined in the

Note: Travel agent bookings may be subject to
travel agent refund policies and payment methods.
Refund payments are subject to the following conditions:
- If a booking was made via an authorised travel agent, refund
payments will be issued by the travel agent. The payee must contact
their travel agent if they wish amend or cancel their booking.
Refund payments may be subject to the travel agents' refund
policy.
- Credit card refunds will be processed at the time of the
request. Refund payments will be credited back to the original
credit card used for the original booking, via an authorised
CardGate Credit Card Payment Gateway.
- If payment to the original credit card is declined, Spirit of
Tasmania will endeavour to contact the payee based on the contact
details originally supplied. The payee may be asked to provide
additional information and/or proof of identity to verify their
booking and refund. Payments unable to be issued back to the
original credit card will be issued in the form of a bank
cheque.
- Refund limit of $500.00 applies to cash refunds issued via
Spirit of Tasmania's Terminals. Remaining refund payments will be
issued by cheque.
- Cheque refunds will be reviewed within two standard business
days of the request. Cheques will be made out and addressed to the
payee, based on the details provided at the time of the refund.
Cheques will be sent via regular post within 14 standard business
days of the refund request.
- Gift voucher refunds will be processed at the time of the
request. Refund payments will be issued in the form of a new gift
voucher; they will not be issued by cash, cheque or credit card.
The new gift voucher will be issued to the recipient of the
original gift voucher. If the original recipient is unknown at the
time of issuing the refund, the new gift voucher will be issued to
the Contact Name on the original booking. Gift voucher terms and

- If a booking was paid by more than one form of payment, online
refund payments will be credited back to the payee in the following
order; first by credit card (if applicable); then by cheque (if
applicable); and finally by gift voucher (if applicable).
- It is the payee's responsibility to provide Spirit of Tasmania
with the correct details so a refund payment can be issued. Spirit
of Tasmania is not liable if incorrect details are supplied, or if
a refund payment issued in the form of a cheque or gift voucher is
lost or misplaced.
- Spirit of Tasmania reserves the right to contact the payee and
request proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency
matching the address originally provided, and any other additional
information relevant to the booking. In the event that the payee
cannot provide suitable proof or documentation, Spirit of Tasmania
has the right to refuse the refund request and investigate the
matter further before issuing a refund payment.
