Passengers on board Spirit of Tasmania
will experience a unique camping culinary 'master class' with
celebrity chef, as 'Fast Eddy' of Better Homes & Gardens TV
fame takes to the water.
"Fast" Eddy Halmagyi will be on board as part of the ship's
brand new array of specially designed entertainment nights.
Passengers can look forward to a memorable experience on one of
Australia's greatest journeys.
Fresh from wowing Channel 7 audiences, Eddy will demonstrate how
to cook an impressive dinner party quickly and easily, using just
the basic camping facilities. Passengers will also get to
taste the delights.
Fast Eddy said, "Everyone loves a good meal and if even if
you're away from your own kitchen, that shouldn't stop you from
cooking up a storm. I can't wait to get on board the
Spirit and show passengers how well they can eat even with
just the simplest, basic camping equipment."
Eddy will depart on Friday 14 November from Melbourne. He will
then pass on his culinary wisdom to passengers once again on the
return leg of the journey, departing Devonport on Saturday 15
November.
Charles Griplas, Spirit of Tasmania's Chief Executive Officer,
said, "We are delighted to have one of Australia's best loved TV
chefs on board. Passengers are sure to learn a thing or two as well
as thoroughly enjoying Fast Eddy's relaxed and creative spirit.
"Year after year we have offered a convenient and relaxing
sailing journey. This year we are giving our passengers the
opportunity to experience something different. We can't wait to
welcome Fast Eddy."
Over the past few months, Spirit of Tasmania has seen its guests
delight in entertainment by Coxy's Crew and serenaded by the King
of rock and roll himself, Elvis Presley. Over the remaining summer
months, patrons will be invited to dance the night away with a hot
Salsa class and laugh their socks off to stand-up comedy.
The new special nights are not the only reason to book with
Spirit of Tasmania with the current Spring Special offering
passengers 40% off selected sailings. The service, which operates
daily between Melbourne and Devonport, offers passengers the
unparalleled freedom to take their own vehicle, as much luggage as
they like and even their pets!
