Passengers on board Spirit of Tasmania
will feel the Latino rhythm and enjoy a Salsa Spectacular as
dancing fever takes over the ship. Sensational salsa entertainers
will be performing a vibrant and exciting display as well as
teaching passengers some moves on Friday 5 and Saturday 6
December.
The Salsa Spectacular coincides with the run up to the
Australian Dancesport Championships and the World Latin
Championships taking place in Melbourne from 8 December this year.
What better way to prepare for the glitz and glamour of the event
than to learn how to salsa dance like a professional?
Guests will Mambo and Cha Cha the night away under the stars.
Special dance movie classics such as "Strictly Ballroom" and "Dirty
Dancing" will also be screening on board.
Gabby Torrisi, Salsa Melbourne's Director, said, "I am really
looking forward to this unique and magical journey through Latin
music and dance on the Spirit of Tasmania. Passengers will
enjoy the fresh, fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and everyone
can learn a few sultry Latin moves."
This fun-filled event is the latest in a series of specially
designed themed entertainment nights taking place on board the
ship. Passengers can look forward to experiencing something
different and a whole host of entertainment while they travel.
Charles Griplas, Spirit of Tasmania's Chief Executive Officer,

Passengers and crew alike are sure to be thrilled by the
experience.
"To date, the themed entertainment nights have been an enormous
success and have added an element of fun to a convenient and
relaxing sailing journey. Salsa dancing is sure to heighten the
passenger experience and make the journey a memorable one for all
on board."
Next up for the on board entertainment program will be a Tez and
Tones comedy day, scheduled to take place Friday 19 December 2008
and Monday 5 January 2009. Passengers will be sure to laugh their
socks off at this extra special comedy gig.
The new special events are not the only reason to book with
