Spirit of Tasmania has
announced new lower priced fares and arrival times.
Effective for travel from September 14, passenger fares have been
significantly reduced with kids' fares now just $44 per child
instead of $128 per child.
Both ships will depart half an hour earlier at 7.30pm, arriving
the following morning at 6.00am with a 6.30am disembarkation.
The sailing schedule will improve the discharge of passenger
vehicles.
"We want travellers to remember our value fares, we want them to
remember our quality service and we want them to remember what a
memorable journey travelling by sea can be," said CEO Charles
Griplas.
"Our intention is for passengers to benefit from low fares all
year around.
"The new changes are expected to strengthen the company's position
in the market and increase visitation to Tasmania.
"Our focus has always been to improve Tasmanian's tourist sector
and the broader state economy.
"We will continue to offer our customers a great service and a
trip to remember."
