20 January 2011
Spirit of Tasmania is offering all Australians to share their
community spirit by donating to the flood relief victims in
Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.
Spirit of Tasmania will conduct a special Australia Day cruise on
Port Phillip Bay on Wednesday 26 January 2011 in conjunction with a
live broadcast from the vessel by Melbourne radio 3AW's top-rating
presenter Neil Mitchell.
Tickets for the flood relief cruise are a minimum of $50 per
person. All proceeds will go towards victims affected by the
floods.
"Show us your Aussie spirit and give generously to this great
cause. You'll enjoy a short cruise in the bay on board Spirit of
Tasmania along with live entertainment and morning tea," said
Spirit of Tasmania CEO Charles Griplas.
"On board, guests can take a stroll on the outside decks, inspect
the ship and watch Neil Mitchell broadcast live.
"Australia Day is a time to celebrate our amazing country. It's
also a chance to help rebuild the lives of many victims to the
devastating floods across many parts of Australia".
Only 500 tickets are available, so the public is urged to book
early to avoid missing out.
Tickets will be on sale from 9am tomorrow (21 January 2011). Book
online at http://3awboxoffice.com.au
"This is a chance to give back to Australia so please donate and
come on board Spirit of Tasmania this Australia Day, 26 January,"
Mr Griplas said.
"Spirit of Tasmania, 3AW, the Neil Mitchell Program and 3AW Box
Office thank the community for the generous contributions towards
our flood victims across many parts of Australia and hope that the
cruise out of Melbourne will add to the support fund. All money
raised will go to the appeal."
