TT-Line
Company Pty Ltd will seek expressions of interest
from potential franchisees and advertise for
new part-time and casual employees at the weekend
for Spirit of Tasmania I and II.
The company will place advertisements in the state's
three daily newspapers on Saturday (27 April 2002)
seeking:
|
- Franchisees for a travel information
and booking service, onboard gaming, a
ship's photographer, a tourist and general
retail outlet and a video amusement arcade.
- Additional qualified cooks, experienced
food and beverage attendants and cleaners.
|
Mr Simmons
said TT-Line employees were usually recruited
from the Tasmanian Business and Employment
Centre's existing database.
"
Given the number of positions we will have available,
both in port and at sea on Spirit of Tasmania I and
II, we felt it was important to advertise statewide
for people with hospitality experience," he said.
"
Proven experience will be a crucial selection criteria
as TT-Line's priority will be to ensure interstate
visitors travelling on board the new vessels have
a memorable and enjoyable Bass Strait journey."
People wishing to apply should contact Merryn Eastall
at the Tasmanian Business and Employment Centre at
Devonport before close of business on Friday 3 May
2002.
Expressions of interest from potential franchisees
close at 5pm on Friday 10 May 2002. Interested persons
should apply in writing to the TT-Line Manager Corporate
Services, Kevin Maynard.
