More
than 100 Spirit of Tasmania, Devonport-based
call centre staff attended a full day motivational
/ product information meeting at the Devonport
Entertainment and Convention Centre today (14
July 2002).
Manager Corporate Communications Ms Simone Ferrier
said with less than two months to go before the Spirit
of Tasmania I and II service commenced on Bass Strait,
it was important for the Devonport staff to have
the most up-to-date information about the new vessels.
"
As well as providing the staff with current product
information, we want to build excitement among our
employees about the new service," she said.
"
This is a very exciting time for the company and
for the state of Tasmania generally.
"
The new vessels will bring with them some wonderful
challenges and opportunities for everybody involved - particularly
our call centre staff who are TT-Line's front line
in dealing with passenger bookings and queries."
Ms Ferrier said the agenda for the day included motivational
sessions as well as comprehensive project information
briefings.
