Channel Seven's
Sunrise program will broadcast its weather crosses
from Spirit of Tasmania I docked in Melbourne
on Wednesday morning (15 September 2004 - Southern
Cross TV).
The crosses
will be televised from locations around the Port Melbourne
terminal and on board the ship featuring interviews
with Spirit of Tasmania staff.
"It's an excellent
opportunity to gain exposure on Australia's number
one breakfast show," says Peter Simmons, Chief Executive
for Spirit of Tasmania .
"With our ships
departing out of three states, a national program
like Sunrise is great for giving a mass audience the
chance to see and be excited about what we do and
what our ships offer," says Mr Simmons.
Celebrating
the Melbourne ships' second birthday, on board celebrations
will also be televised, featuring a giant ship shaped
cake.
