Expressions of Interest now open – Spirit of Tasmania terminal café

Spirit of Tasmania is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced café operators to lease a café space at Spirit of Tasmania Quay in Geelong.

On Sunday 23 October, Spirit of Tasmania will open its new Geelong Terminal which features a brand new space for a café style eatery.

Mr Bernard Dwyer, Chief Executive Officer, Spirit of Tasmania, said this was a great opportunity for an operator to grow their business and engage with more than 450,000 passengers that will pass through the terminal each year.

“We are absolutely committed to providing our passengers with an amazing experience from the moment they arrive at our Terminal. We are looking for a café partner who will work with us to create a warm welcoming environment and consistently deliver high-quality food and beverages, and excellent customer service.”

“A prerequisite is to serve exceptional coffee and we would love for the café to reflect our strong connection with the Geelong region and our Tasmanian roots by incorporating produce from both regions in their offering where possible.”

The successful café operator should have experience with operating a café or similar food and beverage outlet. The operator will be required to provide a selection of freshly prepared light snacks and beverages at agreed times in line with Spirit of Tasmania’s sailing schedule. Consideration will be given to operators who display a strong commitment to sustainability.
