Spirit of Tasmania 1 has departed Singapore after dry dock for a range of engineering maintenance and upgrades.
The vessel’s departure was delayed by Singapore port authorities while surveyors signed off a number of minor matters. This occurred overnight.
Spirit 1 is expected to arrive in Australia on Friday 8 August.
Immediately after arriving, Spirit of Tasmania II will enter a previously planned wet dock in berth 4 west Devonport, while Spirit 1 returns to service.
Both vessels are scheduled to return to the Bass Strait run on Sunday 11 August in preparation for the peak visitor season.
One of Australia’s most iconic travel experiences, Spirit of Tasmania makes travelling across Bass Strait flexible, convenient and easy.
