TT-Line statement re Tasmanian borders

Following the decision to not reopen Tasmanian borders to interstate and non-essential travellers, TT-Line has taken a business decision to accept bookings for all passengers wishing to travel from 1 September 2020.

For travel prior to this date, Spirit of Tasmania will only accept bookings from Tasmanian residents returning home, pre-approved essential travellers and passengers travelling from Tasmania to Victoria.

Tasmanian residents who have spent time in Victoria prior to travel with Spirit of Tasmania will be quarantined in a government hotel on arrival in the state.

There has been no indication or confirmation from the Tasmanian Government that border controls will be lifted by 1 September.

Spirit of Tasmania will continue to offer passengers the flexibility to reschedule or cancel bookings without incurring a cancellation fee as the situation evolves.
