PRE-SAILING CHECKS
Before you travel
Please do not travel if unwell
If you test positive for COVID-19 or have been instructed to isolate, please defer your travel plans.
Stay informed
Four days before you travel we will send you an email with important information and reminders for your upcoming journey. We will also send SMS updates prior to your journey. We encourage you to read the COVID-19 FAQs and check your phone for updates.
HEALTH PRECAUTIONS
When you check in
Spirit of Tasmania is committed to ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all passengers. Several health and hygiene measures are in place to maintain high standards throughout your journey.
Frequent and thorough cleaning
We continue to maintain high cleaning standards. Our terminals are cleaned thoroughly and high touch surfaces are cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
Face masks
Face masks are not mandatory but we appreciate some passengers may wish to wear them.
Contactless check-in
A self-service kiosk is available in our terminals for walk-on passengers.
Hand sanitiser stations
To help you maintain good personal hygiene, hand sanitiser is available for your use throughout our terminals and on board.
Your health is important to us
To ensure everyone's well-being, you may be asked to state your health condition, answer some questions, or undergo temperature testing during check-in.

Once on board
While on board Spirit of Tasmania, a range of facilities ensures a convenient and enjoyable journey. From dining options to enhanced cleaning and medical assistance, everything is designed with passenger comfort and safety in mind.
Flexible dining
options
Take-away options are available from bars on the upper decks while ‘grab and go’ sandwiches and snacks are available at The Pantry. Seated dining is available at the restaurant.
Cashless payments
We only accept cashless payments in our terminals and on board. We accept credit and debit card payments including all ‘tap and go’ methods such as Apple Pay.
Frequent and thorough cleaning
Throughout the journey our crew are regularly cleaning and sanitising high touch surfaces in common areas using 100% chemical-free, hospital grade disinfectant. After each sailing, the whole vessel including cabins and recliners are cleaned and sanitised.
Medical
assistance
A Medical Attendant is on board at all times and will work with our highly trained crew to implement procedures should you or another passenger present with COVID-19 symptoms.
