2. Love among the vines at Josef Chromy

Just beyond Launceston’s outskirts, Tamar Valley vineyard Josef Chromy hasn’t just mastered the art of wine-making. In addition to outstanding vino, starting with elegant sparkling, receptions at its award-winning restaurant also offer delicious dishes and views across the vines.

As for the ceremony itself, there are even better vistas from the garden’s romantic lakeside gazebo.

3. Pick your favourite national park

Did you know you can get married in Tasmania’s national parks? Whether you love getting out in nature together, or just want an epic setting, places like Cradle Mountain National Park are next level – especially when luxe Cradle Mountain Lodge awaits at the park’s edge for reception and accommodation.

Want to take things to the next level? Imagine getting married above the crystal-clear waters of Wineglass Bay, in Tassie’s iconic Freycinet National Park, then maybe hosting a reception at the ultra-luxe Freycinet Lodge or Saffire Freycinet! Ready to book?

4. Have a garden party at the Botanical Gardens

For natural beauty in the heart of the city, make a beeline for Hobart’s Royal Botanical Gardens. Choose from lovely landscapes like the Japanese garden – including a petite bridge across a pond with contented ducks – or heritage settings such as the gazebo or anniversary arch.

After the photos and ceremony, celebrate in the gardens’ restaurant with views across 14 spectacular hectares of flowers and trees.
