Spirit of Tasmania IÂ will return to Hobart for the first time in more than 20 years tomorrow (Thursday 8 August) for a four-day layover for internal and external preservation and maintenance works.

Spirit of Tasmania V, has been officially named and launched at a traditional ceremony at shipbuilder Rauma Marine Constructions’ (RMC) yards in Finland.
Spirit of Tasmania IV – First sea trial deemed a success
As Spirit of Tasmania IV nears completion, the ship took to the open seas for the first time on a five-day trial run. During the sea trial, the ship was put through a series of rigorous tests to check performance capabilities such as speed and maneuverability as well testing all of the key systems including the onboard safety and emergency systems.
