The artist regains control by commanding exactly what the viewer is presented with, as she invites them to look closer and understand the secret inner workings of coercive control.

Far from another academic treatment of the issue, 15:23 is a cerebral scream of resistance and survival – contributing to the healing of one young woman’s past, while adding to the collective consciousness around men’s violence against women.
