The Australian Catholic University commenced its association with the Debating Section in 2015, creating the ACU Debating Challenge Cup. The associated continues in 2025 hosting the competition at ACU Connor’s Hall.
The Royal South Street Society Ballarat Eisteddfod, ACU Debating Challenge Cup now hosts around 80 teams and 300 competitors annually from all public, private and independant schools across the region.
