Bendigo Visitor Centre

More Information

Start your Bendigo experience by visiting one of the grandest Visitor Centre’s in Australia. The Bendigo Visitor Centre can help you sort out all your needs, including accommodation, shopping, dining, booking attractions & tours, and provide you visitor information, maps and guidebooks.

Located in the former historic Post Office, which showcases Victorian architecture at its best. This iconic building was testament to Bendigo’s status as the richest city in the world during the 1850’s gold rush and is a classic example of Renaissance Revival style. It is now also home to the Living Arts Space and Djaa Djuwima; a dedicated and permanent First Nations Gallery.

The Living Arts Space provides visitors the opportunity to see and feel works created by local artists of Bendigo and the Central Victorian region. Offering multiple exhibitions, workshops and artist talks across the year with various themes – no one visit will ever be the same.

Djaa Djuwima is a dedicated and permanent First Nations Gallery on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. An important cultural step in reconciliation, to better understand, recognise and respect the living culture and creativity of our Traditional Custodians of the land. Djaa Djuwima means to ‘show, share Country’ in Dja Dja Wurrung language.

The Bendigo Visitor Centre is open seven days per week with skilled staff and volunteers.
