Bicheno by the Bay offers self-contained accommodation on Tasmania’s stunning East Coast. Overlooking the Tasman Sea, sit back and enjoy the scenic view.
There are 20 individual timber cottages ranging from one to four bedrooms. Each has its own fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate bedrooms and living area. Each cottage also has a covered carport and a private deck. The main bedroom has a queen and the remaining rooms are mainly appointed with single beds. Depending on your needs the ‘A-frame’ foreshore cottages are suitable for couples and the four-bedroom accommodation will sleep up to nine. The mid-range cottages are ideal for a family or two. There are also four motel-style rooms with guest laundry.
More than three acres of surrounding bushland is filled with eucalypts, acacias and native plants. Keep an eye out for local wildlife including possums, wallabies and yellow-tailed black cockatoos. You are perfectly positioned to explore the Freycinet and Douglas Apsley National Parks. Stop by local wineries and choose a bottle to enjoy on your deck at the end of the day.
Bicheno is just over a two-hour drive southeast of Launceston (174 kilometres).
One of Australia’s most iconic travel experiences, Spirit of Tasmania makes travelling across Bass Strait flexible, convenient and easy.
