Award winning museum that showcases the history of Charlton and district from the First Peoples through to today. Modern displays cover themes of farming, education, sport, business, craft, military and more. Located in the former 1882 Mechanics Institute, the museum is situated in the Elliott Gardens dedicated to famous WW1 General, Harold ‘Pompey’ Elliott. A bust of the general is located in the gardens which also house other war memorials.
