Fairbank House is a stylish country house in the iconic gold-mining town of Maldon, in central Victoria. It sleeps six, and offers guests three bedrooms with separate elegant bathrooms, a super king bed (or split super king singles), and two queen beds, all with deep mattresses, feather and down doonas, and Egyptian cotton bed linen. Fairbank can accommodate wheelchairs.
There’s climate control, a gas log fire in the lounge, and Fairbank’s recently had her digital entertainment credentials confirmed. Given its setting and town location, the house is perfect for those celebrating one of life’s milestones, weddings or anniversaries and big decade birthdays. It’s great for those whose current accommodation may be stretched or who would simply like the services that Maldon can provide.
Fairbank is set in beautiful gardens enhanced by a Victorian-style pergola. As well. there’s al fresco dining off the lounge room, a front verandah for readingand and the breakfast spot is at the back door where you can watch the tiny birds playing in the tiny antique fountain.
Fairbank faces across the valley to Mount Alexander and looks over the Victorian Goldfields Railway. It’s a 400-metre stroll into the cafes, pubs, galleries and shops of the 1853 town. Mount Tarrengower’s behind Fairbank, and Lake Cairn Curran, for water activities, swimming and picnics, is about six kilometres away.
