Join Steamrail as they operate a K Class steam locomotive and the heritage electric “Red Rattler’ Tait train at the annual Hurstbridge Wattle Festival.
These shuttles will travel on a scenic return journey through Melbourne’s leafy northern suburbs between Hurstbridge and Eltham.
Take a seat in heritage carriages with beautiful wood veneer panelling, pressed tin ceilings and opening windows to fully experience the steam era!
You may also join on transfer trains from Newport or Flinders Street to Hurstbridge in the morning or Hurstbridge to Flinders Street or Newport in the evening.

Six return shuttles will depart Hurstbridge at 10:15am, 11:35am, 12:50pm, 2:50pm, 4:10pm and 5:30pm. These 45 minute shuttles will operate to Eltham Station and return, passengers will not be able to join/leave the train at Eltham.
One way transfer trips will depart at the following times – Newport (Platform 1) 8:02am or Flinders Street (Platform 2) 8:42am to Hurstbridge arriving at 9:40am. Hurstbridge 6:50pm to Flinders Street arriving at 7:59pm or Newport arriving at 8:33pm.
