Following on from a ‘teaser’ display in 2025, Geelong residents and visitors will be treated to a stunning display across the long weekend in March, 2026 as Liberty Balloon Flights hosts a gathering of balloonists from Australia’s eastern coast. This event will work in conjunction with the exciting inaugural Geelong Bellarine Balloon Fiesta, set to debut in 2026.

Throughout the weekend, participants can book commercial balloon flights, soaring high above Geelong to enjoy panoramic views of the city and its stunning surrounds. Early risers can also follow Liberty Balloon Flights’ socials to watch as a fleet of balloons gracefully launches and drifts across the sky.

This new event is part of a larger vision to position Geelong as a premier ballooning destination, showcasing the region’s natural beauty from a truly unique perspective.

The Balloon Fiesta aims to become an annual family-friendly celebration featuring a balloon regatta, night Glow, live music, food markets, and up-close interactions with pilots and balloons. The event will bring the community together and attract ballooning enthusiasts from across the globe.
