Located at the southern end of the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve, the Murrindindi Cascades are a great spot for a short walk along the river as it flows over rocky ledges.

The walk starts across the road from the Cascades Picnic Area and follows the first 600 metres of the Murrindindi River Walk. The track includes steps and stairs as it heads down through the forest to the river.

Two footbridges cross the river at the base of the cascades, offering good views and photo opportunities. The return walk takes about 45 minutes.
