Since 1867, South Melbourne Market has been a treasured inner city landmark and a favourite amongst locals and visitors. It’s a unique experience with a melting pot of great food, entertainment, creativity and culture.

Discover all of this and more on a guided Market Foodie Tour where you will meet specialist traders and hear about seasonal produce, the secrets behind their artisan creations, plus cooking tips, shopping advice and more.

Tour includes visits to the Market’s mouthwatering patisserie, chocolatier, fromagerie, oyster bar, Spanish bodega and more!

The tour will run for 90 minutes and includes generous food tastings, South Melbourne Market reusable jute shopping bag and tea towel.

  • Have a step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
  • Have step free access to restaurant, lounge and bar
  • Have lifts with enough space for people using a mobility aid to enter and turn around to use the lift buttons. Buttons are at accessible height.
  • Have doorways which are easy to open and have lever handles (doorways 850mm or wider when open and not heavy)
  • Have an accessible public toilet which is unlocked
