Tallarook Mechanics Institute

More Information

The historic Tallarook Mechanics Institute built in 1891 was destroyed by fire in 2018. The newly built hall is faithful to the original design, with a modern twist. The hall has for generations been the cultural and social centre of the tiny hamlet of Tallarook and the region. The Institute is known for the monthly accredited farmers market (unique in the Mitchell Shire), art exhibitions and theatrical performances, as well as numerous family and community event over the generations.
