Tarraleah Estate is located in Tasmania’s central highlands, a two hour drive north-west of Hobart (127 kilometres), a perfect mid-point for those travelling to Strahan or Cradle Mountain.

The private estate provides self-contained accommodation options featuring 16 Art Deco Cottages, a luxury Lodge, the Scholar’s House, The clifftop House, Highlander Cabins and Caravan Park.

During their stay, guests can learn about Tarraleah’s intriguing Tasmanian history, built originally as a town to house families stationed there during the building of Tasmania’s Hydro-electric Scheme.

The 1930’s cottages have been fully refurbished keeping their original Art Deco design, warmth and charm. They feature Tasmanian-designed timber furniture, polished floorboards, warm fires, queen-size beds and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining areas.
