The Wirraway A-20-265 Crash memorial site can be accessed off the Mt Albert TK, in the Strathbogie Ranges.
The memorial is dedicated to the two airmen, No. 416593 L.A.C J.W Masters and No 408213 Sgt M.W Sowter who both tragically lost their lives when their plane went down in fog on April 4, 1942.
4WD vehicle is required to access the site. There are no facilities. Watch for logging trucks and the road is unsealed. Follow Police Track and turn right onto Mt Albert track, follow the signs on the right-hand side to access the site.
Access to the pine plantation is not permitted.
