Choosing the right cabin

Spirited travellers have liked this blog!

Whether travelling with kids, mates or that special someone, your ideal private cabin awaits.

Spirit of Tasmania’s recliners are a great budget-friendly option on overnight sailings, but for extra comfort, convenience and privacy treat yourself to a cabin. There are 222 on board, but not all cabins are the same. Read on to find out which is right for you – then book it quick!

All our cabins are private; you will never have to share with someone you don’t know. Each has an en-suite bathroom with shower, soap and towels, plus a desk, chair, bedding, reading lights, hanging space, power point and adjustable air-conditioning. So how are they different?

Four Bed Inside Cabin

This option offers excellent value if you’re travelling in a group.

It’s really family friendly with four bunk beds, plus up to two cots can be provided in this cabin class – just look for the ‘cot’ icon when booking, and bring suitable linen.

The Four Bed Inside Cabin also offers a memorable sleepover to start your gals or guys getaway, or for two couples travelling together.

Four Bed Porthole Cabin

For just a little extra, get a window too. A view of the sea makes the journey all the more exciting, especially when waking up shortly before arrival and seeing your vacation destination too.

If you’re booking an escape with friends, they will appreciate that window of opportunity and touch of class. A cot can be provided in the Four Bed Porthole Cabin, so it’s also family friendly. Again, just look for the ‘cot’ icon when booking and bring linen for babies.

Twin Bed Porthole Cabin

Instead of bunks, get the grown-up option of two comfy beds, plenty of head room and a window too.

Empty-nesters, and other couples ready for a little self-indulgence, the Twin Bed Porthole Cabin is for you. It’s also a top option for travelling with a dear friend, sibling or parent, or embarking on a solo adventure.

Deluxe Cabin

Want to treat yourself to the ultimate Spirit of Tasmania experience? This spacious cabin has a queen-size bed, a table and two armchairs beside twin windows, plus television and fridge.

Newlyweds, welcome to your honeymoon suite. Any couple should consider book-ending their holiday with this hotel room at sea though.

The deluxe cabin is also the best option for those travelling with babies. Up to two cots can be provided (look for the booking icon, and don’t forget suitable linen), but even then there’s still plenty of room to move.
